Privacy Policy

Effective July 27, 2026. This policy describes information processed by the SplitPay website and its onchain payment interface.

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to the SplitPay website and interface operated by SplitPay operator. It does not govern Robinhood Chain, wallet providers, RPC providers, Blockscout, token issuers, or other third-party services.

2. Information processed

The website may process wallet addresses, bill names, bill descriptions, token contract addresses, participant shares, deadlines, transaction hashes, network identifiers, browser information, security logs, and messages you send to support.

The interface does not ask for or intentionally collect private keys, seed phrases, wallet passwords, or brokerage credentials.

3. Public blockchain information

Bill metadata, participant wallet addresses, shares, token addresses, deadlines, and transaction events may be recorded permanently on Robinhood Chain. Public blockchain information can be copied, indexed, and viewed worldwide. SplitPay cannot erase or alter confirmed blockchain records.

Do not place names, contact details, travel plans, health information, financial account details, or other sensitive information in bill names or descriptions.

4. How information is used

Information is processed to display bills, prepare wallet transactions, calculate fees, read payment status, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, protect the service, answer support requests, comply with law, and maintain business records.

5. Service providers and disclosure

Information may be sent to hosting, RPC, blockchain indexing, security, analytics, and support providers used by the operator. Wallet interactions are also subject to the wallet provider's terms and privacy practices. Information may be disclosed where required by law or to protect users, the service, or others.

6. Retention

Public blockchain records may be permanent. Offchain security logs and support records should be retained only as long as needed for their stated purpose, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention. Exact retention schedules must be documented by the operator before launch.

7. Privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain offchain personal information. These rights do not permit the operator to change immutable blockchain records. Requests may require identity verification.

8. Security

The operator uses reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect offchain information. No website, wallet, smart contract, or blockchain is risk-free. Users are responsible for securing their devices, wallets, recovery phrases, and transaction approvals.

9. International processing

Blockchain nodes and service providers may process information in multiple countries. Applicable transfer safeguards should be documented based on the operator's providers and legal jurisdiction.

10. Children

SplitPay is not intended for children or anyone who cannot legally enter binding contracts in their jurisdiction.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated when the service, providers, laws, or data practices change. The effective date at the top will be revised.
